Embolden
Foundations for Executive Administrative Professionals in Real Estate
Eight Week Program that develops artistry and mastery; your work is important.
Embolden is a program developed by a team of industry professionals with a purpose: to empower the professionals typically seen as entry level.
You see, as successful operators in the real estate industry, we know the impact that administrators may have if empowered and trained. Many adapt with time and experience, but many do not recognize their potential for fulfilling work, as there aren’t the tools and training that support their success.
This industry allows for administrative careers in many forms: with boards and organizations, brokerages, property management and strata management companies, law offices, lenders, and low-income housing societies.
Some of these positions are in office, but many careers are conducive to working remotely and within school hours, making this a terrific way for parents to make some meaningful income with flexibility.
Real estate moves quickly. Despite their best intentions to be organized, agents and organizations get caught up in the “spin” of a reactive workday. Best practices that support a nimble and strategic organization are often taught in professional organizations or conferences that leave out the people who have the best chance of implementing them. The business demands a diverse skill set that includes social media and marketing, graphic design, customer service, technology and research. It requires thoughtful communication, laser accuracy, professionalism and charisma. In hundreds of h/r interviews we conducted in the field, it was seldom that a prospective administrator checked all of the boxes. When hired, the closest fit would be trained by a colleague who, at best, taught them how to follow a checklist. Sometimes, this colleague might even view them as competition (oof, that’s awkward!)
Or maybe the administrator was hired by a busy agent or team without the systems to scale their business successfully. With minimal instruction and too much time on their hands, they inevitably grow insecure and make mistakes, and the agent eventually feels they can do the job themselves.
Can you relate?

Meet Your Mentors
Jen and Melissa connected over a shared work philosophy, one that prioritizes work-life balance, passion, productivity, and synergy. However, their strengths reside in different areas. Jen thrives at talent development by establishing a strong culture and dynamic training programs that inspire growth and innovation. On the other hand, Melissa excels in creating structure, refining workflows, and providing the steadfast support paramount for any functioning team. Together, they form a complementary partnership, balancing vision with stability to cultivate a strong team.
Their story shows us that there isn’t a “one type” of ideal administrator. Companies need a balance of artists and operators to help them thrive. In Embolden, we’ll help you identify your strengths and enhance your gifts. You belong with us!

Jen co-founded Human Ideas Inc, an organization that bridges her corporate and recovery work. Before birthing this company, she worked as the Broker & Owner of North America’s top Coldwell Banker Franchise (for over 20 years). She graduated from the Ascend Leadership Experience, Anywhere RE’s 47 week program for real estate leaders. She volunteers in recovery programs, foundation boards, treatment centers, and youth housing projects in her free time. Here, she meets people doing tremendous self-work, with notable communication, empathy, and resilience. What if somebody shared the skills that allowed them to create financial wellness for themselves? She had an idea on how she might make that happen!

Melissa has been the Executive Administrator for some of the top agents and brokerages in Canada, including Jane Hoffman Realty, Coldwell Banker Horizon Realty and Re/Max Best Results Realty. Melissa is an organizer, with the keen ability to lay out process, streamline systems and do it smiling. She is excited to expand her leadership and administrative skills by mentoring, helping to share her passion for the industry and supporting people.
Skilled Professionals Do Valuable Work
This is how we price with LOVE
Pop culture tells you you should charge based on your WORTH. If that were the case, everyone in your company would make the same income as the CEO (which we don’t think is too wild an idea, but most corporations aren’t with us on this point…yet).
Who could argue that more skilled WORK is worth a higher wage? When your work is professional, inspired, and efficient and solves problems in your organization, your artistry becomes more valuable to your organization. Your output, even if paid at a higher rate, negates other expenses like outsourced marketing, creating a net positive in company profit.
Embolden isn’t JUST training (any minimum-wage employee can follow a checklist). This talent development program will inspire you and give you purpose at work. It will elevate opportunity and enrich your organization. It is a leadership program for individuals often considered entry-level in an industry we will improve together.

Melissa Cook, Instructor
“I’ve always been proud of my career, and I am thrilled to bring it the respect it deserves by shining a bright light on the professionals there. Real Estate Administrators are the backbone of every company. I wish I had this program when I was starting out.”
“This is my living amends to every administrator diligently working in the background of my company without adequate resources or training. As an operator, I didn’t have time to give you the focus you deserved. This program is worthy of the highest level executives in the industry, and it’s just for YOU.”
Jennifer Lebedoff, Instructor

The total program, valued at $800-$1200, takes approximately 50 hours to complete. We’ve intentionally priced this to cost far less than an organization would allocate to train the same content themselves! Because it is our specialty, we ensure it is impactful and engaging.
There will be live training each week. Each participant will have self-study in the form of projects, and there will be a weekly skills lab where the instructors will be available to review project work to give live examples of best practice, answer questions and mentor participants.
We don’t test; we practice. Self-study work is optional. Students completing this will have a portfolio of their work after completing the course. Portfolios showcase professional development, rather than an online test that doesn’t say much. Portfolios can be used to demonstrate newly calibrated skills to reports or act as a tool to distinguish alumni as they compete in the workforce.

This program is meant to enhance, not replace, your organization’s existing onboarding system. Participants will be equipped with an onboarding checklist you can customize to your company's specifics.

We are planning a series of affordable workshops to create further mastery in this field. The initial course is a “tapas platter” offering a broad industry understanding and an introduction to principles carried through future programs. Additional courses will allow us to lean into a next level of experience in the areas that emerge as growth opportunities for our cohorts. We plan to continue to support your professional development! Our first in-person events are coming soon, so we can meet to cement our belonging, network with our peers and enjoy ourselves, building on the online relationships we have created.

For companies considering this program for their admin team:
Across industries, administrative workers are often expected to stay within a confined, easily replaceable role. Companies prioritize keeping administrative costs low, preferring employees who execute tasks without making decisions. They hesitate to empower admins with too much knowledge or skill—after all, what if they left? Many organizations are satisfied paying under the living wage for unskilled labour, wondering why people treated like they are disposable come and go. This thinking doesn’t make a lot of sense and results in high HR costs, low morale, and sub-par work output. We’ve been here, though. Management is demanding and sometimes requires that you hand someone a checklist and move on. We’ve created this program to help you! This program is for you if you want to show love and respect to your team, and watch them blossom!
For Agents considering this program for their assistant:
Agents frequently guard their processes as proprietary, yet, in reality, many lack structured systems and adequate support altogether. Agents with an aptitude in the business might grow faster than they can put a solid foundation in place and hire an administrator too late, when they are busy and don’t have time to train them. We’ve seen that agent frustrated, thinking, “I’ll do it myself,” and that administrator lacking confidence without direction. That agent might move on to a partnership instead, paying a much higher commission split to a licensee when a qualified administrator would have been a more effective support. We think a well-trained and well-paid administrator is the next step for intelligent agents and teams. Let us help you and your administration team mutually thrive. We have a proven track record of building successful real estate careers. What if the administrator you hired was efficient, was trained in real estate marketing, could give you insight on that system you always wanted to implement? What if they could show you a portfolio of the work they could do? Would that help you?

Course completion should not require a raise, but demonstrating mastery in this program that leads to net company gain, should. This is why participants create a portfolio rather than write a test to prove their newly practiced skills. We feel the application of new skills that streamline redundancies, improve accuracy, provide the ability to solve problems, and grow company culture is priceless… we’ll let you decide for yourself, though. Graduates can help you plan more connecting events and will be trained to take on some of your to-do lists and get them done. You will realize an improved NET company dollar with a skilled administrator.
Skilled, competent professionals who feel they can make a difference in an organization are happier at work. They are confident and productive, and if they are respected and cared for in return, they stay.
They might warm the management bench waiting to move up in your organization. And if that happens? We’ll be right here, ready to support your succession plan and mentor the new addition to your administration team. -
This is a foundational course with broad brush strokes. We train skills that apply to this industry as a whole. This program will not be covering specific real estate law or rules and regulations; instead, we will focus on developing talent that will be useful in all markets.
